NEW THEME
This year, we adopt a new theme called “Level up Metaverse Marketing.”
With the help of the new Board of Directors, we envision equipping all members with this new technology called metaverse so they can effectively apply this in their respective businesses. As Gen Zs and the millennials now dominating the market, brands should consider metaverse as part of their marketing strategy.
In essence, metaverse could be a manufactured world or an augmented reality (AR) although at present, most Filipino marketers see this more as still being in the real world but offering various digital options. One such example years back was Pokemon Go which used mobile devices with GPS to capture and battle virtual creatures appearing as if they are in the player’s real-world location.
MORE INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS
In terms of membership, I see PMA’s membership base growing and being more global as Filipinos all over the world share insights with one another to improve Philippine marketing. And with the now institutionalized hybrid set-up that was implemented during the lockdown, the Association will open global membership among Filipinos living abroad to enable them to interact online with their fellow marketers living locally.
Furthermore, I envision PMA as a platform for intellectual and marketing discourse, and of best practices not only here in the Philippines. Thus, Pinoy marketers will be able to understand both the Philippine marketing situation and that of other countries.
So those who are not yet part of PMA, this is the right time to share your experiences and be part of the discussion. Join us!
