Agora Awards

Established in 1979, the Agora Awards is an annual recognition program organized by the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) to honor outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptionally remarkable marketing practices and contributed to the transformational growth and development of the marketing practice in the Philippines.

Since its inception, the Agora Awards has become one of the most prestigious and iconic marketing awards in the country with the following categories:

The Marketing Enterprise

Marketing Company of the Year

This award celebrates a company that has excelled in meaningful and strategic marketing practices, resulting superior business outcomes. It acknowledges comprehensive marketing strategies that drive measurable resutls.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Filipino-owned company with at least 51% ownership and a minimum of ten (10) years in operation.
  • Must have successfully marketed an original Filipino brand through innovative methods.
  • Must be established and founded in the Philippines.

Export Marketing Company of the Year

This award is given to a company that has achieved remarkable success in export marketing. It honors sustainable, innovative, and ethical practices that have driven export growth and global competitiveness.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino-owned company directly exporting products or services for at least three years.
  • Must market an original Filipino brand and have demonstrated exceptional export performance.
  • At least 51% Filipino ownership, with a significant contribution to the export marketing industry.

Advocacy Marketing Company of the Year

This award honors a company that has excelled in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and advocacy marketing. It highlights ethical practices, community development, and environmental preservation through impactful marketing initiatives.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino-owned or Philippines-based company/ foundation in operation for at least three (3) years.
  • Must have institutionalized advocacy programs that are attached to a brand and Filipino beneficiaries.
  • Programs must have utilized marketing tools with success metrics and demonstrated significant community contributions.
  • At least 51% Filipino ownership.
 

United Nations GCNP Sustainability Award

This award recognizes a company that has excelled in sustainability programs aligned with the United Nations Global Compact Network Philippines (UNGCNP) principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). It honors exceptional contributions toward sustainable development, measured by tangible impacts in community and environmental outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Philippine-based or Filipino-owned company or foundation registered in the Philippines for at least five (5) years.
  • Must have an insitutionalized UN-GNCP Advocacy program running for at least five (5) years.
  • Programs must use marketing and promotional tools with proven success metrics.
  • Advocacy programs should support one or more of the 17 SDG's, benefiting Filipino communities.
  • Demonstrated significant contributions to national development, with measurable outcomes.

Marketing Communications of the Year

This award honors a company or individual that has demonstrated excellence in marketing communication. It recognizes strategic use of various media platforms to drive engagement and business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Must have relevant case studies showcasing successful communication strategies over the past three years.
  • Nominees must have significantly contributed to brand growth through effective marketing communications.
  • Open to individuals and companies involved in ATL, BTL, digital, and other media campaigns.

Marketing Education of the Year

This award is given to an educational institution that has excelled in marketing education. It recognizes the institutions innovation in curriculum, contributions to research, and efforts to prepare students for marketing careers. 
Qualifications:
  • Must be a formally accredited educational institution in the Philippines.
  • Must offer a degree program related to marketing.
  • Must have made significant contributions to marketing education and student success.

Social Enterprise Company of the Year

This award acknowledges a Filipino-owned social enterprise that has used marketing and innovation to address societal challenges. The enterprise must create meaningful social impact while being financially sustainable.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Filipino-owned or Philippine-based enterprise registered for at least three years.
  • Should have a proven track record of addressing social issues through innovative marketing.
  • Must provide measurable outcomes that demonstrate a positive impact on communities.
  • At least 51% Filipino ownership.

Marketing Campaign of the Year

This award is presented to a company or individual that has executed an outstanding marketing campaign. It acknowledges creativity, strategy, and measurable impact on brand awareness, sales, or market engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Campaign must have been launched within the last three years.
  • Must demonstrate clear objectives,  innovative execution,  and measurable success.
  • Open to companies and agencies with a proven track record of impactful campaigns.
 

The Marketing Luminaries

Marketing Communications of the Year

This award honors a company that has demonstrated excellence in marketing communication. It recognizes strategic use of various media platforms to drive engagement and business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Must have relevant case studies showcasing successful communication strategies over the past three years.
  • Nominees must have significantly contributed to brand growth through effective marketing communications.
  • Open to individuals and companies involved in ATL, BTL, digital, and other media campaigns.

Large Scale Business Owner Category

This award recognizes an entrepreneur who has led a large-scale business to significant success. It honors visionary leadership that has resulted in substantial growth in sales profitability, and market share.
Large Scale Entrepreneurship Award Qualifiers:
  1. Business must have over 100,000,001 in assets.
  2. Must be a Filipino owner or representative of a business that has operated for at least three years.
  3. Must have demonstrated exemplary business growth and innovation under the nominee's leadership

Medium Scale Business Owner Category

This award is presented to an entrepreneur leading a medium-scale business to great success. It celebrates effective entrepreneurship that drives significant business performance and marketing expansion.
Medium Scale Entrepreneurship Award Qualifiers:
  1. Business must have 15,000,001 to 100,000,000 in assets.
  2. Must be a Filipino owner or representative of a business in operation for at least three years.
  3. Must have shown exemplary growth in sales, profitability, and market share under the nominee's leadership.
   

Small Scale Business Owner Category

This award recognizes an entrepreneur who has successfully built and sustained a small-scale business. It recognizes exceptional entrepreneurial abilities that have led to substantial business growth.
Small Scale Entrepreneurship Award Qualifiers:
  1. Business must have 3,000,001 to 15,000,000 in assets.
  2. Must be a Filipino owner or representative of a business operating for at least three years.
  3. Must have demonstrated strong growth in sales, profitability, and market share.
 

Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Management

This award is presented to an individual who has shown outstanding marketing management performance, leading to significant company growth. It honors achievements in strategic marketing, customer satisfaction, and corporate social responsibility.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Chief Marketing Officer or Executive with at least three years in the role.
  • The company must have shown exemplary growth under the nominee's leadership in sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Must have implemented marketing innovations and impactful CSR initiatives.

Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communication

This award celebrates an individual who has demonstrated strategic communication leadership and excellence. It honors contributions that have led to notable growth in sales, brand reputation, or profitability.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino Marketing Communications Officer or Executive on either the client or non-client side.
  • Must have case studies of successful marketing communications implemented over the past three years.
  • Nominee must have significantly contributed to their company or client's growth.
  • Must be a Chief Marketing Officer or equivalent with at least three years in the role.

Marketing Educator – Collegiate Level

This award recognizes a faculty member who has significantly contributed to marketing education at the collegiate level. It honors excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and research in the field of marketing.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino faculty member teaching marketing for at least five years in a duly accredited collegiate institution in the Philippines.
  • Must have made notable contributions through research, curriculum innovation, or publications.

Marketing Educator – Higher Education

This award recognizes a faculty member who has made outstanding contributions to marketing education in higher education institutions. It honors excellence in research, teaching, and thought leadership in the marketing field.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Filipino faculty member teaching marketing for at least five years in higher education institution in the Philippines.
  • Must have contributed significantly to the field through research, curriculum development, or academic publications.

Outstanding Achievement in Overseas Marketing

This award is given to a Filipino marketing executive who has made a significant impact on international marketing. It honors individuals who have successfully advanced their company's growth and reputation through exceptional global marketing efforts.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino marketing executive in a regional or global position for at least two years.
  • The company must have shown substantial growth in sales, market share, and profitability under the nominee's leadership.
  • Nominee must be recognized for contributions to international marketing management.
  • This award can only be won once.

Marketing Campaign of the Year

This award is presented to a company or individual that has executed an outstanding marketing campaign. It acknowledges creativity, strategy, and measurable impact on brand awareness, sales, or market engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Campaign must have been launched within the last three years.
  • Must demonstrate clear objectives,  innovative execution,  and measurable success.
