Manuel S. Rustia

With only 15 members, the Philippine Marketing Association was organized and registered as a non-stock, nonprofit corporation on January 27, 1954 with the general objective of developing marketing as a science and a profession.

This was a relatively new calling as marketing was then regarded as more than the distribution and purchase of goods. Such uncommon vision and determination drove the PMA founders to decide that the time was ripe to enlighten the business community on the marketing concept.
